Out of air.
Out of gas.
Both not fair.
We'll take a pass.
Both can suck.
Both can rain.
Pass the buck,
On such a pain.
Or pass the gas.
Easy to do.
Out the ass,
It just flew.
That went flip.
That went flop.
Here's a tip.
Just don't stop.
Let it flow.
Let it fill.
You never know,
What can thrill.
Or what can suck.
Like a drain.
Pass over that buck.
It feels no pain.
Your wallet may.
Or maybe not.
Repair they say.
Such an evil plot.
But can be filled.
It can be fixed.
You may not be thrilled,
But life isn't nixed.
Still a step.
Still a stride.
Follow that pep.
Life is still spied.
Life can be found.
Life can be breathed anew.
So before sand you pound,
Take a new view.
And a newsflash. IWSG has a new book bash!
Experience spring, have a fling.

ReplyDeleteHaha it seems the race was on this morning!
DeleteT for three in the place to be, do I get a ribbon?
A ribbon so blue
DeleteRight there in view
A good one! Writing can be a lonely place but doesn’t have to be as we struggle with insecurity and all the other aspects of it. It’s great to have community to lift and inspire. Smiles.
ReplyDeleteThat writing can be
DeleteA community helps out from sea to sea
Just don't stop. Great advice we all need to hear! We are so close!
ReplyDeleteHave to keep on a going
DeleteSo close to a showing
The cat's not nuts, just speaks truth. Yay on the anthology! I wish I were in it, but I guess I would need to enter the contest to get closer. :)
ReplyDeleteTruth works for me
DeleteYeah, that would help thee
We’ve all had a Flat tire
ReplyDeleteWe get it fixed, it’s not dire.
We continue to drive
We continue to strive
To reach our destination
With a smile, is our salvation.
That we must do
DeleteFlat tire, ditch, whatever comes through
Sorry about the flat. I'm not fixing it either. That's what mechanics are for.
ReplyDeleteYep, let them do the work
DeleteManual labor isn't a perk
Most southerners are never outta gas!
ReplyDeleteGot some a coming
DeleteWith cans and umm other stuff they are chumming
good poem for Wed inspiration
ReplyDeleteInspire away
DeleteDay by day
Had too many flats in my life
ReplyDeleteBoth on the car and skinny tire strife
One of the fun benefits of being a wife
I make food, and he repairs flats so rife
A good trade off indeed
DeleteThere at your feed
I think the cat is full of hot gas. LOL
ReplyDeletelol some like it hot
DeleteOr so they say with such a plot
I don't know how to fix a flat
ReplyDeletebut I've two thumbs, so
well, there's that.
Flash two others things it will get fixed
DeleteWhat? You said two so the thought wasn't nixed
Damn flat tires.
ReplyDeleteLets here it for new views.
New views are the way
DeleteToss flat tires in the bay
I hate flat tires, but I always enjoy your positive spin on writing!
ReplyDeleteHave a great IWSG Day, as ipositive nspiration you bring!
Oops! Positive inspiration!
DeleteThe I wanted to go another way
DeleteThe cat strays from negative nelly at his bay
We'll leave that to Pat
He's far more negative than the cat lol
Crazy Cats rule. And those glitches along the life's way are only speed bumps. They slow you down, but never stop you.
ReplyDeleteYep, can drive over them in the end
DeleteOr go around the bend
That's why I have the Auto Club
ReplyDeleteto fix a tire when it goes flat
Rather they do it and keep me safe on the road
so I don't go splat.
betty
Best way to be
DeleteWe also pay the fee
Excited for everyone in the anthology. And yes, a new view on anything can really sometimes.
ReplyDeleteCan really help out
DeleteWith a new view about
I've never fixed a flat tire. I'll wait hours by the road. Silly me!
ReplyDeletehaha if it is hours upon hours
DeleteI may break out my tire fixing powers
Always good to try a new view
ReplyDeleteBefore saying things are done for you
Better to have a positive spin
rather than thinking you'll never win
why be a negative Nancy
when things could always turn out fancy?
Lots of good could come due
When you change that point of view.
Elsie
A little change is all it takes
DeleteJust no germy hand shakes
Look from a new angle and see
Even if only one eye dawns on thee
I know a lot of people who run out of air, but never run out of gas. On the other hand, I also know a lot of people who run out of gas, but never run out of air!
ReplyDeletePut them together and they are complete
DeleteDo you think the plenty of air people would find it neat?
I've been out of gas (metaphorically speaking) when it comes to writing for a LONG time.
ReplyDeleteNeed a new tank
DeleteSo words you can bank
Oh Drat! An Airy Flat!
ReplyDeleteOut of gas on the mat
Repair works
Often quirk
Pray not paying like mad
Hank
No paying to come due
DeleteBetter at one's zoo
I have felt that frustration recently too though I would have been really pissed if it was added to by a flat tire.
ReplyDeleteFlat tires suck
DeleteOn them we sure pass the buck
Never had a flat, but if it happens, I have a man to fix that.
ReplyDeleteGood way to be
DeleteLet him do it at your sea
Yay on the new anthology!
ReplyDeleteA grand one indeed
DeleteAt their feed
One of the perks of being married to a car guy is he fixes the flats. On the car, that is. If my writing feels flat, I'm on my own.
ReplyDeleteAt least you got half of it covered at your sea
DeleteTires are more annoying to come to be
Let it flow.
ReplyDeleteLet it fill.
You never know,
What can thrill.
This I take as inspiration for dreaming up stories that might just thrill someone. I've read the anthology. Pretty neat.
Sure just never know
DeleteSo have to let it flow
No need to pull out hair
ReplyDeleteIf our tyre runs out of air
Just grab the spare
And continue without a care
Good analogy for life I think!
That's what one must do
DeleteAlthough they may want to buy a new tire too
Bah, who needs manual labor? ;)
ReplyDeleteExactly our thought
DeleteScrew that plot
Loved the verse although late in reading.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Glad it is grand
DeleteHere in our land
