Did you think we'd go all hoarders today? Bah, been there done that at our bay. Plus collecting they do. If you can call it that at your zoo. Instead we'll go input. Count the toes on your foot.
A data collecting.
Can't start neglecting.
Let's pretend.
Later we can amend.
Isn't this nifty.
We can be shifty.
Pull it from our ass.
We'll fool any mass.
90% of this.
It brings bliss.
52% of that.
It melts fat.
The data is there.
Like a head of hair.
Lots to see.
Manufactured by me.
Counting and collecting?
Bah, that involves selecting.
Just get it off the internet.
Facebook is the place they all vent.
Why create new?
Go tried and true.
Or tried and fake.
But shhh don't partake.
Just go with the flow.
We're really in the know.
Nod and agree.
Our data comes free.
We held no beta.
We just got our data.
Can't you accept that?
76% say yes with no spat.
Old data works.
It has perks.
Done 50 years ago.
2.5 kids were in the know.
Can't gather new.
So just shoo.
Your data doesn't count.
You'll ruin our amount.
Don't you love stats pulled from an ass? Put them on the internet and they are believed by many a lad and lass. Don't you love using old data to create something new? Like data 50 years ago is, usually, ever relevant to today's view. Want new data one has to put in the work and not be a lazy jerk. That is the end of my data sass. Now you can go back to collecting data on my little rhyming ass.
Experience spring, have a fling.

Morning Hank
DeleteGood morning True
DeleteHow has it been with you?
Hank
Up you go
DeleteEven slow
Does Hank have the data of all the times he's been number 1?
DeleteYes Adam. In absolute amount, yes for all the years
DeleteHank
Did a post a while ago
DeleteNeat keeping track at your show
Data can be very interesting and one might not know when it will be useful......well that's my opinion.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Could come in handy
DeleteAnd be quite dandy
I've always wondered about that poor .5 kid...
ReplyDeleteMost data is slanted. Poll the right people and you'll get the answer you want.
Yep, slanted is how it goes
DeleteThat .5 kid must have plenty of woes
Stats can be manipulated for a desired outcome
ReplyDeleteare they fake, depends on the stakes...
Have a great day! To bears beware...
That they can be
DeleteHave to watch them at one's sea
any numbers can be manipulated to prove what you want it to show. I am sure 4 out of 5 cats would agree
ReplyDeleteThat they can be
DeleteJust let the fifth cat swing from a tree
My good friend came over yesterday and I showed her a video on my oldest son's Facebook. She thought it was my son doing the video and would not be convinced of otherwise (it was just one of those funny types of videos that go around the internet, but she doesn't go online so it's a new concept to her). I was surprised because she's not usually gullible. Goes to show though, not everyone sees through the stats/internet/junk. Some take it to heart.
ReplyDeleteYeah, and then they are unwilling to change their tune
DeleteBurying their head in a sand dune
Not only does manipulation apply,
ReplyDeleteSometimes stats are an all-out lie
That they are
DeleteLike gas mileage on a car
Politicians are really adept at making up -- or at least "fudging" -- statistics to "prove" their points. And by politicians, I mean most of them, not just our oh-so-obvious Liar-in-Chief.
ReplyDeleteYeah, any one of the jerks
DeleteAlways want to get what they have in the works
Anything can be said for one's advantage
ReplyDeleteso we must be careful with what we believe
with all the information we receive.
betty
That we must
DeleteIn not everything we can trust
I hear about new data every day.
ReplyDeleteWine is good...wine is bad
butter is good. margarine is sad.
but now margarine is good
wait...eggs...are bad but just the yolks in my hood.
I can't keep up with this data if crap
so I'll eat what I like, in moderation...that's a wrap.
A fine wrap to be had
DeleteGo to it at your pad
#fakenews
ReplyDeleteFake it to make it
DeleteOr make it with bullshit
Stats are in the ear of the beholder I guess!
ReplyDeleteIn the ear
DeleteSomething to fear
Everything you read or hear may not be true.
ReplyDeleteWhether to believe it or not is up to you.
That sure is the way
DeleteCome what may
orlin N cassie; we dunno bout data... coz itz two much math... which we epic failed in skewl... but we due noe we cracked up at yur commint at Sandra'z !!! ☺☺☺♥♥♥
ReplyDeletehaha that type of weekend is fine by us
DeleteOver it we wouldn't fuss
Manipulating data to get a preconceived result is one of my pet peeves. The doctors I used to work with told me to just "toss out" all the numbers that didn't support their theory, because they were more interested in keeping their grant money flowing than they were in what the data was actually showing. As bad as that was, politicians and pollsters are even worse.
ReplyDeleteYep, I've heard the doctor thing from quite a few
DeletePathetic that it actually comes due
Politicians it is an easy guess
They pretty much in a roundabout way confess
Gotta love those fake data stats. Seems like even though we are advancing in technology where stats should be easier to come by, more people are taking a lazy way out and just pulling stats right out of their asses and passing it off as fact.
ReplyDeleteAnd the more they get around
DeleteThe more the "truth" is found
Bad is good
ReplyDeleteGood is bad
Stats come and go
Easy to be had
That they be
DeleteAt every sea
Data is sometimes interesting to collect but not for me. It all changes every day so it is a full time job. Have a great day Pat.
ReplyDeleteYep, that it would be
DeleteWho needs that at their sea
When it comes to statistics, I consider the source. And many of sources today I don't trust in the age of _rump!
ReplyDeleteMany are crap
DeleteEspecially when spouted by that silly chap
