Signs, Signs...

"Now what are you doing?"

Just looking out the window. Can't a guy sit on a windowsill?

"With you there is always something else."

Fine. Signs, signs...

"Just stop singing. You are worse than noisy poop machines."

Maybe that can be a sign. Something like these:

At least if you survive you won't suffer much.

Guess that is one way not to have people pee in the pool.

Isn't the last bit kinda redundant?

I think there is a few around here from the smell of things.

Wow. Everything is legal out in the woods.

But the sign is behind the fence and still safe.

Want to develop cool super powers...or cancer?

So...do you have to go through the poison ivy first?

Saw a bear and can still draw better than me.

May not know how long sanding goes, but you got the age of the pothole.

See any signs when you are out and about? Is that bad of the cat to have a dirty mind and let it out? Bah, I think any can take it at my sea. At least no zombie feet came to be. Now I will sign off and go pick on Cass. Can't have her getting on my little rhyming ass.

Hair is always a sure sign of a feline.

  1. Haha they are funny...I did see one in the mountains behind a restaurant near a dumpster. Beware of bears, electric fence.

  2. That's sad they took twenty years to get to the potholes...

  3. Those are some interesting signs. I've never seen a poison ivy caution, but it's a very polite thing to do. I'm wondering if your pothole definition is different than ours? Here it means a hole in the road caused by winter freezes. We'd be livid if it took 20 years to be filled in!

    1. Same thing indeed. The holes just stay there and stay there and stay there, ugg.

  4. I like your sign choices and it's funny to see English/French. Here in TX it's English/Spanish. My favorite sign was in Australia at an aquarium - Danger: If the fall doesn't kill you, the crocodile will.

    1. Just become oblivious to the French version here. lol good to know the crocodile is there as backup.

  5. That is a cool bear drawing! Places we used to live we would see signs warning of rattlesnakes. Mind you, this was at the parks where kids played, people walked their dogs, etc. A little unnerving. Went to a sign museum the other day down in Tucson; going to blog about it soon so saw plenty of signs there, LOL. Even paid to do so!

    1. Yeah, can see why that would be a little unnerving. lol I could have shown you a bunch, but would have cost gas money, so better off paying and being indoors.

  6. Wow. Those are some old pot holes! They must be waiting for them to turn into sinkholes. Then everything around them will get swallowed up and there will be nothing to fix.

  7. Loved the first pic of the critters. Snorted over the Ho for sale and 20 yr old potholes signs:)
    Have a great one.

  8. Some really scary signs lol. The bear drawing is very cute :-)

  9. This is hysterical. Did you really see these in your travels or are they from the internet? I giggled at the Ho Sale but legit LOL at the 20 year old pot hole!!! Did anyone else immediately think of the insurance commercial where the pot hole speaks? "Hiiii, I'm a pot hole..." :) :)

    1. All from my phone as I see a lot in my travels. At least there are a few funny things to see among the naked people and crappy roads. I think the 20 year old pot hole would have a lot to say after 20 years. lol

    2. LOL Now that's a show I'd like to see. Something tells me that it would be juicy!

  12. LOL! Interesting signs. You know, I seldom pay attention to signs when I'm driving. Guess I ought to. They might be warning me of something. Will start reading them from now on. But then I might run over a car or a person because I'm not watching the road. Oh, well, I'll see how it works out.

    Replies
    1. haha you might want to ignore the signs instead of the people and cars. But then again, if you can fully run over a car, that would be impressive.

  13. Those were funny! We have one in our neck of the woods that says Caution Slow Children at Play. Funny they point out that the kids are slow.

  15. That last one is my fav, I think. However, I like the one that basically says they welcome poison ivy, but people have to check in.

I've been collecting "sign" photos to do a post on my Ruralhood blog.

  16. Ha! Those are great! I may have to start shooting signs now; you’ve inspired me! But I must confess, after reading the fourth line, the first thing that came to mind was the Five Man Electrical Band ditty... signs, signs, everywhere signs, blocking out the scenery, breaking my mind, do this, don’t do that, can’t you read the sign?!?

  18. Wow... a twenty-year old pot hole??? I thought they were slow about filling those things around here... not even close!

They are some fun signs, but that one warning about the poison ivy would be helpful. Might've saved our son a bunch of misery when he was a boy.
