All In A Day!

There I was all comfy and rather warm.
Sitting in my box to ride out the storm.

I gave Pat a plug so he wouldn't bug.

Pat was out with way too many a mutt.
I can still smell them here at our hut.

The ground became covered with that yucky snow.
Do you think that would stop them? Hell friggin no.

I knew they were coming from this little old bag.
Nanny stopped me from diaper eating. She's such a drag.

So I climbed up to get a rather good look.
Why do they insist on invading our nook?

I will admit they have some very yummy toys.
Cassie said I was nuts. Pffft more for us boys.

Although she played when he came with that stick.
She sure thought that was anything but ick.

I didn't miss my turn, even if it is all a blur.
I kept my distance so he didn't germ up my fur.

But then I just had to go and get that yummy string.
Cassie can go and play with some other old thing.

But he insisted on sharing with each kitty cat.
He even called us both Cassie. How rude is that?

Pat came home just as I decided to rest.
Although Cassie thought she'd put that to the test.

He read and kept the poop machines busy until night.
Then they were sleeping and all was all right.

Pat then tried to make up to my little rhyming ass.
For the moment anyway, I gave him a rather hard pass.

So that was my day as I dealt with each unwanted guest.
Do any of you have anything you'd like to get off your chest?

    3. Got a few of those, but don't show their face on the blog, just the other place. Content as can be even as my legs went numb lol The cats got through it and in many ways enjoy it, as they have lots to do and chew on.

  4. And to all a Good Night!
This is how I read your poem, what a delight.
Poor pussy cat, he looks so scared
A dirty diaper? Yikes! Me too, I dared
Not even try to ever change a diaper.
I would not want to meet that pied piper.

    Magic string must be powerful.

  10. You did great job dealing with the guests! But sounds like you still got a lot to teach the little ones. At least they should remember the names of each of you!

    1. They know to keep their distance and know both names. Cassie just rolls off the tongue easier than Orlin.

  11. Those dogs were too cute. The kitties look like they had quite the day.

  13. Cassie 1 and Cassie 2 - Where's Orlin? haha...kids and cats find a piece of string to be an entertaining thing.

I am sure you have many books to read the boys there at your nook...

    1. String sure wins out, even if Orlin is Cassie. Read for an hour or so, so many indeed.

  14. oh the struggles and turmoils of cat life at Pat's. Invaded by boys - busy, busy boys. Looks like plenty of fun and energy galore. I can only hope 2020 brings Uncle Pat more....
    Cheers, sir!

  15. I laughed at bambino calling both cats Cassie! Lol. You should just be happy you’re called a name at all. Most little boys and girls forget animals have a name and just become “cat”.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. lol that is true. Just kitty or puppy or cat or dog is usually said. Cassie rolls off the tongue easy, so that gets said more often.

    2. When they see movies or anything really, do they stop to point out “puppy” just in case you didn’t know?!

      Delete
    3. Nope. It's Dinosaur that they point out.
