A Few Thursday Thoughts!

"I guess I could grace this blog with my presence again before I sleep."

Pffft. Like you have anything better to do. And like I wouldn't have to let you.

"I better get on with it before he starts yapping. I'll never get a nap."

Don't...

"And here we go with the first."

How rude.

A Human Went There!!!!

This is probably one of the top things I've rolled my eyes at concerning humans. They go to a place solely because someone else did. I'm not talking about a friend who had a great experience and recommended a restaurant, boutique, etc. Oh no. I'm talking about the sheep who go to a place because someone on TV did. "Oh look. Sylvester Stallone golfed there. That must make it great." Person got offended when all that came was a shrug.

Who friggin cares? They are only people. Nothing more special about them then anyone else. Well except maybe the riches, unless they don't pay their taxes and then in jail they go. Poor Blade. Hey! He went there. Don't you all want to go to jail now? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

A place is good because it is good. Not because someone that is on TV went there. Any brain dead fool can get on TV. Just look at those dumb reality(yet not really reality) shows.

And humans make fun of mutts for sniffing butts. They may not sniff, but they sure follow like sheep after some sort of whiff.

"And there is your comment from the peanut gallery, folks."

How rude. Such attitude.

"Get a new line. That one is old."

Show Em The Money!!!

Cash in hand. Is this even still a thing? I mean maybe when it was cash or check, yeah. Checks you couldn't trust so cash made the deals better. But now? Really? So you are going to give me cash in hand. Umm...okay. Does that make it special some how? Should I be jumping up and down? Does that make me want to choose you over the guy who will pay double by email? Nope! I'll let you be the sucker on that one and keep your germy, drug-laced cash in hand.

But it is great to chew. That you knew.

"Probably what's wrong with you. You got high off the money you licked."

How...

"We know. How rude. Geez. And damn. I have to steal it."

How Rude!!!

So when you are out and about and a human comes to you that you haven't seen for a while and they want to shake your hand, hug you, kiss your cheek, or whatever else you humans do, and you back away because they are sick, does that make you rude? Pat got called that the other day because he wouldn't shake the hand of a germy person who was hacking up a lung. Not that Pat shakes hands much anyway, but that one? Even one who isn't OCD would have brains enough not to do that.

The rude one in this case is the idiot that didn't keep his hand to himself in the first place. That is why germs spread so much because people are inconsiderate, at best, when it comes to them. If you'd keep your damn hands to yourself, not get offended when you are the dumb one, and not eat without washing your hands, then maybe you wouldn't hack up that lung to begin with.

See? My how rude applies a bunch. Humans are just out to lunch.

"Just a tad more than you. Take it away. I'm off for a nap."

Ever get called rude for not going near one with germs? Maybe they should eat more worms. Ever hear about the cash in hand terms? They should choke on worms. Are you a sheep and go places because someone on TV went there? Pfffft is what we give at our lair. Got a text months back that a person from some history channel TV show was on the same plane as another. Like I care? Go tell your mother. Is the plane any less or more in mass? Nope. So whoopdi friggin doo says my little rhyming ass.

The blind leading the blind = mankind.

  1. Good grief, I thought hand shaking stopped a few weeks ago! I'm trying to stay at least 3 feet apart from people while I'm at the grocer or taking a walk (the only things we are currently allowed to do).

In Miami, we ate at a restaurant that Justin Bieber supposedly had dined at a few weeks before. I didn't get excited about it. LOL

    1. Yeah, nutso people still think it is oh so wrong. They need to take a hike.

lol good not to get excited about that.

Money is indeed one of the most germ-ridden items in the world.

  12. I love Cassie Cat's Thursday thoughts!!! While I agree about something not being great just b/c it was on TV..actually, it's usually the opposite. Well, about a year ago, when I was obsessed with Robert Downey Jr my friend and I made a trip to Cleveland just to go a Waffle House. Ever see Due Date when they eat at The Waffle House? Little did I know this was a massive chain because we have none where I'm from. We did buy a coffee cup from there just to remember the trip. LOL @ rude Pat. Well, while I agree he is rude (I kid, I kid), I wouldn't shake their germy hand either. What did the guy do as you stood there staying at him like "Uhhh no...". hahaha

    1. He just stared like an idiot as I got out of there and wouldn't shake it lol When you were obsessed? You aren't obsessed with RDJ anymore?

    2. Nah, I moved on. About 10 years ago (maybe more) I had a list of every movie he was ever in taped to my wall. I wanted to watch every movie he was ever in. This task proved too much and has never been completed. Are you disappointed that I went all the way to The Waffle House just b/c R. Dow was at one once in a movie somewhere in the world??? LOL

      Delete
    3. What in the world? Did you do a post on this? Waffle House is a southern thing. I think I've only ever seen one in Ohio and it wasn't Cleveland!

      Delete
    4. And here you were obsessed with him. See? You can move on. Kick the anxiety to the curb lol Well I'm not disappointed, but I'm not surprised. The cat just rolls his eyes at you by now.

    5. @Bijoux - It wasn't in Cleveland, but that was our destination to see Carmello Anthony suit up for the first time as a Knicks player. The trip was a nightmare and we never made it to the basketball game. We got stuck in Pennsylvania which is where we found a Waffle House. I never have, but it would make for a really good book! We didn't make it there until a Saturday night only to find out that the town pretty much closes on Sundays..

@Pat - The cat doesn't roll his eyes. He enjoys my stories. He told me so himself. At least you're not disappointed as I'm not huge on trends. We're too unique in Blogland to follow trends. :)

      Delete
    6. Yeah, not being too huge on trends sure is a win in the cat's book.

  18. My husband bought beer at the store yesterday and the cashier tried to grab his wallet to check his i.d. instead of just looking at it. He pulled it back before she could touch and the look she gave him was pure evil. Normally he isn't so "stay the hell away from me and my stuff" but since I am on immunosuppressing drugs, he's borderline phycho about the spread of germs right now and in his eyes, everyone has the coronavirus and they're going to kill his wife lol.

As for celebrity endorsements, no, I never follow them. From clothes to restaurants and vacation spots, they get paid lots of money to show up at those places and wear those things, so I don't find them trustworthy.

    1. Good for him. The clerk should have common friggin sense, but many of them don't. I went to one the other day and she got me to hold up everything and then she scanned it, so she touched nothing. Those are the ones that show there is some sense in the world.

Yep, they get paid money to say things, so pfffft to them.

    2. Our stores are now putting plexiglass barriers between the cashiers and the customers. Jason just does the Uscan though even when he's well over the 20 item limit. The farther away he can be from people, the better. Then, everything gets wiped down with a sanitizing wipe before it even comes in the house. I've been banned from even touching the mail or any boxes that show up at our house until he's had a chance to properly sanitize everything.

That's smart of the cashier to have customers hold things up. I feel so bad for them having to interact with so many from the public on a daily basis, jeopardizing their own health because they need their jobs.

      Delete
    3. Best way to be. I do all of that too before opening anything. Wipe it down and then wash hands and then open and then wash hands again.

Yeah, it really sucks what they have to do and what crap pay they get to do it.

  20. Wanting to go someplace just because some "celebrity" went there is stupid, but not as stupid as believing a "celebrity's" opinion about politics, world issues, or healthcare carries any more weight than anyone else's.

You weren't the rude one for refusing to shake that doofus' hand. That doofus was... a doofus. And a very inconsiderate one.

  23. I will do the Wakanda greeting because I like it and thinks it’s cool. Even when this virus is old news I will not shake hands any more unless it is a dead friend. Too many people don’t wash their hands. I talked to a friend of mine who is in isolation Because he and his brother were on, literally, the last cruise, in the Caribbean. He told me that he saw many men, in the washrooms, do their business at the urinal, and walk out...no washing of hands! I know this was normal before but now, I would have thought more would be doing so but I gave them too much credit. Cats know what to do

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah, the Wakanda greeting is much better than the germy hands. Oh, I see plenty do it weekly. Well it is nasty, and I would never shake a person's hand after they touched down there just because, not that I shake hands much if any, is it really more germy? As if they don't piss on their hands and haven't stuck it anywhere lately, which has more germs? Their hands or their nether regions? One is covered and not used, the other touches everything. Still blah, but just saying.

  24. Cash in hand
    and mucous too

  25. I have to admit that I like visiting historical spots where famous events have happened ~ like the Tower of London. Probably the site that impacted me most profoundly was visiting the secret annex in Amsterdam where Anne Frank and her family hid for almost two years. I can't remember the last time I shook someone's hand. I like the Thai greeting of a little bow with one's hands held in a prayer position. Stay safe, my friend!
